Let\u2019s face it: Videocalls have become part of our daily routine – whether we like it or not. We spend ages fine-tuning audio settings, making sure the lighting doesn\u2019t make us look like a ghost, and searching for that magical camera angle that doesn\u2019t give us the dreaded double chin. But there\u2019s one surprisingly powerful factor that often flies under the radar: how far you sit from the camera<\/strong>. It might seem trivial, but your distance from the lens can dramatically change how you\u2019re perceived – ranging from approachable and confident to awkward and disengaged.<\/p>\n\n\n

Even though videoconferences happen through screens, we subconsciously interpret camera distances in the same way we would face-to-face conversations.
